Ginger-Lemon-Honey Tea

Did you know that lemon and honey has been shown to be more effective for healing a sore throat and cough than over-the-counter cough syrup? Ginger also helps clear sinus congestion and soothe nausea.

  • 1 -inch piece ginger root, peeled
  • 1 large strip lemon rind
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 4 herbal tea bags of your choice, such as chamomile, roobios, chai

Slice the ginger into coins. Heat ginger, lemon rind and water to boil in small pot. Add lemon juice and honey to hot water and transfer to a tea pot. Add tea bags to pot and steep. Remove bags, mix and serve. Can also be iced.
