this is my second pregnancy. with my first i was induced will that happen again or will i just go into labor when its time?”

To know if you’re at risk for an induction again you need to find out why your first labor was induced. Call the hospital or birth center where you delivered and ask that your current health care provider be sent a copy of your records from your first delivery, and ask your health care provider to go over these records with you. If your labor was induced because you have a chronic condition like diabetes, kidney disease or high blood pressure, or you developed preeclampsia, an induction or a scheduled c-section will very likely be indicated again. If your induction was because your previous pregnancy went beyond 42 weeks, or your water broke but labor didn’t start on its own, that may or may not happen again, second pregnancies do tend to not last as long on average, and premature sac rupture could have been related to an infection you had at the time but don’t have any more. So talk the details of your medical history with your care provider.
