Hydration-Vacation Pregnancy Smoothie

Marcie Jones Leave a Comment

If it’s summertime and your living is queasy, try rehydrating by sipping this quick and easy anti-nausea smoothie. The tropical flavors make it a vacation in a glass.  And mango, bananas and coconut water have all been found to help reduce mild nausea for many people, and are rich sources of fiber, folate, potassium and other nutrients too. For even more nutrition, add a teaspoon of ground flaxseed (because of the banana you won’t even notice). And/or for extra deliciousness replace the yogurt and ice with a cup of vanilla ice cream.

  • One banana
  • 1/2 cup peeled mango
  • 1/2 cup coconut water, milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup ice

Place in a sturdy blender with a tight-fitting lid and blend until smooth.

Top with tiny umbrella.
